Tumpline Ministries is a wilderness adventure ministry that is Christ-centered and non-profit.  We lead wilderness canoe & backpacking trips in the most remotest regions of the world. Our trips often combine an adventure trip with a mission trip.

We specialize in leading wilderness adventures that fit your group's experience level. We can design a memorable trip for the young and inexperienced as well as a rigorous trip for the veteran adventurer. Past trips have led us to Alaska; Labrador; Manitoba; Ontario;  Patagonia, Chile; Siberia, Russia and the Falkland Islands.

Why a wilderness trip?    First, we believe that wilderness trips set the stage for our youth to experience what the Apostle Paul spoke of in Romans Chapter 1, the "visible attributes of God being clearly seen" in nature. We have found that when a person gets away from the environment they are familiar with, they become open to the Gospel.  They are also away from the influences of the world. They have time to reflect. Many young people will not darken the door of a church but will jump at the chance for a wilderness trip.  For young believers, these trips can be a time for growth and renewal in the Lord.

What We Do: Simply stated, we do everything. We research the trip, arrange transportation and provide  guides, cooks, canoes & equipment, meals and well as appropriate Biblical devotions.

Our goal is to present the Gospel in a clear and understandable manner and to mentor young Christians in their walk with the Lord.  We also want to gain an appreciation of God's creation and just have fun!!

"Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it. God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead, He set before your eyes the things that He had made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that?"
Augustine of Hippo
